Pub Stayz Australia (pubstayz.com) is a community-run directory of Australian pubs with camping. We are a small volunteer project, not a commercial entity. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Name — displayed on your reviews and forum posts.
- Email address — used to log in and for account-related notifications. Not displayed publicly.
- Password — stored as a secure hash. We never store your plain-text password.
When you use the site, we may also collect:
- Content you submit — reviews, forum posts, pub listings, and photos.
- Basic usage data — page views and interactions, used to understand how the site is used and improve it.
How we use your information
- To operate your account and let you log in.
- To display your name alongside reviews and forum posts you submit.
- To send account-related emails (e.g. password reset). We do not send marketing emails.
- To moderate content and enforce community guidelines.
- To improve the site based on usage patterns.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data with:
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — to run the site. These providers are bound by their own privacy policies.
